Jan 12th 2006

Screen Door is pleased to announce the success of another inspiring family drama, Spirit Bear: The Simon Jackson Story.

Screen Door's beloved television film Spirit Bear is enjoying a slew of festival dates around the world. Based on a true Canadian story, the film has delighted fans of all ages (not to mention educators, distributors and film festival directors) since it's completion this year bringing not only standing ovations everywhere it plays, but also requests for the Director (Stefan Scaini) to tour schools in the US and abroad to discuss the film.

Dates in 2005 include Whistler, Kaleidoscope in Atlanta (GA), the Brooklyn Museum Screening, the Children's Film Festival of London (UK), and the Mill Valley Film Festival in California, where Spirit Bear received the highest audience rating for all the children's films.

Fresh from a fall screener at Chicago's International Children's Film Festival, Spirit Bear has most recently been invited to film festivals in Australia, Hartford, Vancouver, and Michigan (to name but a few)!
